John's company, Sports Car Rentals, is the granddaddy of all US based classic car rental operations. Sports Car Rentals, based just south of Charlottesville, VA, has a wonderful fleet of MG's, Triumphs, Alfas and even a 60's Buick Skylark Convertible. Better yet, Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley, basically John's backyard, offer some of the most perfect roads for his classic roadsters!

The folks at Mountjoy have been helping me keep my cars running since the mid 1980's! They are a little hard to find but once you have you'll keep coming back!

Mountjoy's specializes in parts, service and restorations for most British marques. They have (or can order) most of the necessary parts for your British car project. Their technicians have the necessary skills and background to solve your British car's mechanical needs. I have also been working with Jeff and the rest of the folks at Motorhead since the mid 1980's. They have also been a wonderful source for parts and expert service!

Motorhead LTD has been around for over 30 years and sell new, used and rebuilt parts of all British cars. They also repair and restore all British marques and provide free advice and symptom diagnosis.

I strongly encourage you to swing by some time and get to know these experienced folks. Being a short walk to the Metro is also a nice plus! 

Classic Car Hire started at about the same time in the UK and the USA in the mid 1990s and has spread to most countries where people love to drive classic cars.  In some parts of Europe, notably Austria, Germany,  the Netherlands and Switzerland classic cars are generally referred to as 'Oldtimers' rather than classics.  'Classics' is the term normally given to the cars from the fifties, sixties and seventies.  There are also numerous companies renting out modern 'classic' and performance sports cars which in the USA are generally referred to as 'exotic' cars.  You can hire anything from an AC Cobra to a Volkswagen, a 1916 Crossley or 1929 Studebaker right through to the latest 2009 model Bentley, Ferrari or Lamborghini.
